Puffy Eye’s Be Gone!
It’s officially the first day of June and we are headed to those scorching hot humid days of Lahore, that to with Ramzan looming right around the corner so remember to stay hydrated and don’t forget your sunblock before you head out the house! Today lets talk about something that plagues us on a day to day basis – puffy, swollen and tired looking eyes. The number one reason for puffy eyes is the lack of sleep, stress, bloating, unhealthy diets and things like smoking quickly follow suit. Sometimes we are genetically prone to puffy eyes and dark circles, so while it is one of the most common queries I get, there are many simple, easy, at home fixes for puffy eyes!
Tea is the eyes favourite antioxidant!
Puffiness and tired eyes are caused by constricted, inflamed blood vessels which might also be why your eyes are red in the morning. Tea has been known not only to calm you, but your blood vessels as well. Use green tea or Camomile tea, even regular black tea is great for under the eyes. What’s even better is that you can use the same tea bag you used to make your tea, just remember to leave it in the freezer for a few minutes before you apply.
Potatoes to Deflate
I’m sure you guys think this one is weird, but its true! Apply thinly cut slices under your eyes and lie down for a few minutes. Your skin will absorb the enzymes and the juice will do its magic. Potato juice has anti-inflammatory powers and also lightening properties so this will help fight dark circles for you too!
Egg It Out
Brush some egg white mix under your eyelid to egg out the puffiness. This is great as a tightening and whitening mask too! 15 minutes and your good to go – always rinse with cold water.
Salt + Warm Water
Dip a cotton pad into the salt and warm water concentrate and let it soke. Aplly this to your lids for 10-15 minutes.
Cucumbers Always Win
Aloe Vera and Cucumbers work wonders too! If you apply Cucumbers to your eyes daily, you will never have to worry about puffiness or discoloration ever again.
