Top 5 Looks from the SAG Awards
Yet another Monday and yet another fantastic beginning to a new week full of new things! I like to start my Monday’s off feeling motivated, especially when it’s been a star studded weekend of glitz and glam at the popular SAG Awards. Hollywood has been going through quite the storm lately and I have to give applause to the ladies of Hollywood who are bringing their A game as they also take the reigns of the biggest cinema industry of the world. The Golden Globes saw massive support with every big star in Hollywood coming out dressed all in black to support the #MeToo movement, which gave the SAG awards an opportunity to take the Red Carpet by storm as the ladies and gentlemen of Hollywood went back to putting together the perfect ensemble to grace such a night. So I’m giving your Monday a fashionable run through of my top 5 favorite looks of the night.
Taking top position on my list for being the most gracefully dressed and styled lady of the night was none other than the woman who plays Marvel’s Harley Quinn and Olympic sensation Tonya Harding in her latest movie “I Tonya”. Margot Robbie chose a beautiful blush colored Miu-Miu feathered dress that drew her a sensational silhouette. Her makeup artist chose a soft Camel colored lip, with simple and subtle nude eye lids topped with just mascara, her skin was dewy and the blush was just right. Topped by her blonde locks in simple waves this has to be one of Margot’s most simply gorgeous looks on the red carpet.
My second favorite would have to be none other than one of my favorite actresses on television right now, the star of the top ranking current drama TV series called “This is Us”, Ms. Mandy Moore. She wore a royal blue shimmery slip on gown by Ralph Lauren. Her eye makeup was a mix of bronze and blue tones, with big eye lashes and a hit of smokey eye – her lips were my current favorite shade for winter, a beautiful nude. Hair thrown sideways with subtle waves and volume, I give this red carpet look a thumbs up!
Millie Bobby Brown
Now it was so tough putting this little beauty 3rd but she’s stealing many hearts in the fantasy show Stranger Things as the protagonist Eleven and is becoming quite a popular internet sensation too. Millie Bobby Brown stayed true to her personality and age in a sequined blush pink mid-length gown with a trail by fashion maestro Calvin Kline, what I loved about her look was the casual teenage touch she gave by choosing to wear converse, her hair in baby buns and the cutest nail art on the red carpet ever! With glittery eye shadow, bright pink lipstick, mascara and a fresh faced look she was an industry fave on the red carpet yet again.
The next starlet on my list also bagged herself her first SAG awards last night in her now well known signature red-carpet look. Nicole Kidman won the award for Outstanding Performance by a female actor in a Television Movie or Limited Series. She wore her signature hair tying it in the chignon bun with loose hair trimming her soft taupe make up look, with red-orange lips.
Last and sort of least on my list is Kristen Bell, for the lack of finding anyway else who I really enjoyed seeing on the red carpet. Now Kristen Bell is the goofy starlet of Hollywood so it’s very hard to step away from that persona to really appreciate her look on the red carpet, nonetheless I think this year she chose to be daring and it turned out well for her as she also hosted the prestigious night.
